Bus Transfers To and From Kefalonia Airport

During summer, the busiest tourist time, buses connect Kefalonia Airport with Argostoli. Ktel, the bus operator, has been on the island for some 50 years, offering 42 inter-urban and 5 city bus services. Together, they link all of the island's villages and towns with Patra and Athens, and connect Argostoli with places like Lixouri, Sami, Skala, Lassi, Fiscardo, Ithaca and Poros.

A ticket from Kefalonia Airport to Argostoli's town center costs around 2.00 Euros per person – you can buy tickets from the driver. The airport transfer bus leaves from the front of the terminal building.

Ktel's website offers a route map for the various services and general information on the island and its nearest neighbours. If you fancy a trip to Athens, you need to be at the Argostoli bus stop on the main square in the town centre by 8.00 am or 9.00 am, depending on the latest schedule. Buses return from Athens around 13.00. Patras buses leave at the same time in the morning, returning from Patras at around 16.00 in the afternoon during the main holiday season.
